Many designers find it difficult to design their creative space. It is important to keep in mind that the space should be comfortable, organized, and inspiring for the designer’s creativity. There are many different aspects of designing a creative space that can enhance or detract from your productivity. Creative spaces are personal and reflect the personality of each individual designer.

  • Designers should create an environment where they feel inspired by color, light, and furniture placement.
  • Creative spaces should be personalized with objects meaningful to you as well as items that inspire you creatively such as paintings or sketches on a wall. -It’s also important to have plenty of room for projects so there is no clutter around your workstation (desk).
  • Lastly, it’s imperative not only having a desk but also an area where there can be conversations involving discussion or brainstorming – these areas called “creative zones.”
